Counselling & Coaching

From coping strategies to complex trauma, we have created a team of counsellors and coaches with a variety of approaches to meet your personal needs. At our office locations in Sooke and Colwood, we are able to reach more people both in-person and online. Accessibility is important, so our experienced team offers weekend and evening appointment times.

Our practicum program allows us to support counsellors in training and offer low rates to make sure everyone has an opportunity to work towards wellness.

Counselling and Coaching services are currently available at our Health & Wellness Centre in Sooke, or offices in Colwood, and online.

Book a Session with a Practicum Student or Intern Counsellor

The Practicum Program is run by our Clinical Director, Tara Munro. Students accepted to the program have relevant experience, are in good academic standing, and receive clinical supervision from supervisors with decades of experience and a diverse knowledge base. Clinical Supervisors work closely with students by providing one-on-one supervision, shadowing opportunities, and a team approach.

Students receive one hour of supervision for every five client hours. This allows students to receive immediate feedback and training to promote positive outcomes for clients and nurture professional development. Once the student has completed their practicum requirements, they can apply to become an intern counsellor with Sea to Tree Health & Wellness while awaiting certification.

We take the time to review what is bringing you to counselling to make sure working with a student is a good fit. Students work with mild to moderate presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression and interpersonal struggles. If an individual has experienced complex trauma or requires an experienced counsellor, we recommend them to a registered counsellor within the centre.
