I bring a substantial amount of personal and professional experience to my counselling. I have experience in providing family, individual and couples counselling using a variety of approaches to the work. I strive to provide my clients with a safe, non-judgmental, focused and respectful counselling experience. I will work with you to identify the changes that you would like to make and work with you to set out a pathway to achieve them. I have experience working with family issues using a structural family approach, with couples, working on communication as well as the internal reactions and inner triggers that can exacerbate couple conflicts or disengagements and with individuals, using inner work focusing on thoughts, feelings and understanding the impacts of past trauma on present perceptions, reactions and behaviours.

I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and I am a member in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. In addition to my work in the counselling area I have worked as a social worker and team leader working with families who are experiencing challenges relating to child protection, parenting and parent-teen conflict. I have also worked for a number of years with First Nations communities and families in the Fraser valley and in the south Vancouver Island area.
