Counselling with Mina
Mina is a registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University.
She has over 18 years of experience working extensively with children and adults within a variety of settings, including elementary and secondary schools as well as private practice. Her role in the counselling process is to lend a knowledgeable, experienced and warm hand in order to guide you through life’s highs and lows. To do so, Mina has committed herself to continuous professional development, whether that is through supervising graduate students, undergoing training in new clinical approaches, or consuming updated professional literature. This allows her to draw upon her various credentials in administering solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and art therapy.
Mina believes that the key to a successful counselling relationship is grounded in warmth, transparency and authenticity. She places great value in each professional relationship she develops, and is understanding of the privilege she is given in being able to provide a safe place for individuals to seek personalized support and solutions.

Mina has over 15 years experience working closely with children and youth within the following areas:
- Anger management
- Generalized anxiety and phobia
- Grief and loss
- Parental separation and divorce
- Selective mutism
- Negative self-concepts
- Disordered eating
- Attendance issues
- Physical and emotional abuse
She also works with adults and couples who are experiencing or have experienced attachment issues, trauma and post traumatic stress, grief, and abuse. If you or your children are struggling with any of these issues Mina is available for an initial chat at no cost to you, in English, Punjabi or Hindi.
